His musical journey began early with Trova singer Xiomara Laugart as his mother and folk singer-guitarist Alberto Tosca as his father. By age seven, Tosca was proficient on piano, quickly making his stage debut. His education, enriched by Cuban piano legends' kin, laid a foundation for a diverse career, collaborating with acclaimed groups and exploring genres from Afro-Cuban jazz to hip-hop, including a memorable performance with The Roots. After winning multiple piano competitions in Cuba, Tosca's move to the United States in 2005 marked a new chapter. His tenure with the Havana Nights revue in Las Vegas and subsequent jazz studies in New York have solidified his status as a dynamic performer and a respected member of the jazz community, notably with the band (U)nity. Tosca's unique sound continues to captivate audiences in New York's vibrant music scene and beyond. Xiomara Laugart, celebrated as "The Voice of Cuba," is a monumental figure in Cuban music, with a career spanning over 30 years has taken her across the globe. Born with a natural affinity for a broad range of Cuban rhythms, she embarked on her musical journey at 15, quickly rising to fame after winning the prestigious “Aldolfo Guzman” Contest for Cuban music in 1980. Laugart is revered in Cuba, known as "The Jewel Of Cuba," with over 17 albums to her name. Her versatility lets her masterfully interpret everything from traditional to contemporary Cuban music, earning her international acclaim and numerous awards in Russia, Poland, and Germany.
