Frank will be celebrating the 10 year anniversary of his #1 charting album Love Supreme Collective and honoring the 60th Anniversary of John Coltrane's historic recording Love Supreme. Frank will also be playing songs from his new #1 Billboard charting album Set Me Free as well as classics he has performed/recorded with Tony Bennett and a few surprises. Frank tours extensively across the USA, Europe, and Asia, and frequently performs at New York's Birdland Jazz Club. He has shared the stage with The Smashing Pumpkins, Los Lobos, Les Claypool, Sean Lennon, Violent Femmes, Randy Brecker, Beyoncé, and John Legend. A documentary about him, Sugar Jazz by Belgian director Colin Donner, will premiere at the Tokyo Liftoff Film Festival. His recordings have topped Billboard, iTunes, and streaming charts, including Tokyo #9 with Jimmy Chamberlin, Love Supreme Collective, Bang!, and Mighty Burner, which held a spot on the Billboard Jazz Charts for 20 straight weeks. Catalano has also collaborated with David Sanborn, Miles Davis, Charles Earland, Elvin Jones, Stan Getz, Betty Carter, Tito Puente, and Tony Bennett, making him one of the most versatile and sought-after saxophonists of his generation. Catalano’s career is marked by resilience and recognition: he overcame a devastating hand injury to reclaim his virtuosic technique, has appeared on three Grammy-winning and 11 Grammy-nominated recordings, was inducted into the Fox Valley Arts Hall of Fame, and at just 19 was voted into the Downbeat Critics Poll. Beyond performing, he authored Modern Saxophone Techniques for Hal Leonard, serves on the Board of the National Saxophone Museum, and continues to compose, teach, and inspire worldwide.
